Jigme Namdol
Travel Photographer
Jigme Namdol, lovingly known as Jignam, is a travel photographer who spent the last decade documenting his journeys through Nepal and India. He has displayed his work nomadically on the streets of McLeodGanj in Dharamshala, Varkala in Kerala, and Leh in Ladakh. Namdol makes a living by selling his prints through different mediums.
His love for photography was eked out from him by his chance encounter with a Parisian photographer Sebran D’Argent in 2009 in Dharamshala. Since then, Namdol has dabbled in analog photography capturing people and vast landscapes. Wherever one finds empty space, he will make a shop out of a corner and sell his work on an ordinary day.
Namdol was born in the Tibetan capital, Lhasa. Over the course of his travels, he has made numerous photographs documenting India and Nepal through his unique lens. Born in Lhasa and displaced at an early age, Jignam wants to keep exploring the art of photography.
