The painting of the six-year-old Gedhun Choekyi Nyima, better known as the 11th Panchen Lama, on the lock is a reminder of PRC’s continued atrocities on Tibetans. 29 years after his enforced disappearance on 17th May 1995, the revered figure’s whereabouts still remain a mystery and a cause of shared grief for Tibetans around the world.
